Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Geovanni Gaúcho got the match started through his kick off. João Carlos Pombal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cléber Schmidt having to interfere. Poaca's João Carlos Pombal got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 20th minute of the game. One of Viannopolis FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Poaca:s goal. Cléberson Meirelles hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Cléber Schmidt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silvério Dionísio in the 28th minute of play. João Carlos Pombal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If João Carlos Pombal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 43rd minute, Alan Esteves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 46 played minutes Viannopolis FC got a freekick which was hit by Cléberson Meirelles. In the 48th minute of the match Poaca got a corner. Viannopolis FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Noel Simões ran over to the corner to take the kick. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Silvério Dionísio to make the kick off. Leonel Sá blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cléber Schmidt having to make a save. João Carlos Pombal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Cléber Schmidt made a huge save. Viannopolis FC's Geovanni Gaúcho got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 57 minutes into the match, Viannopolis FC's goalkeeper Cléber Schmidt had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Silvério Dionísio. After 59 minutes of play Viannopolis FC's Cléberson Meirelles was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Cléberson Meirelles hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Silvério Dionísio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Cléber Schmidt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If João Carlos Pombal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Silvério Dionísio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. João Carlos Pombal spun around in front of the goal 88 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Viannopolis FC's goal. Carlos Alberto Costa's late challenge caught a Poaca's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carlos Alberto Costa helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Poaca booed when Viannopolis FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Alberto Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 94th minute, Alan Esteves made a precise shot to the right of Hadi Ercan. Poaca's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Poaca's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
