The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Anísio Lucas was the one to do the kick off. In the 88th minute, Narciso Quintal reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Nestor Ribeiro. The goal made the score 2-1. In the 94th minute, Anísio Lucas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. EC Cubatão's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
