Serafim Bittencourt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. Willian Favoretto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 41 minutes, Ronaldão Coelho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pirambu EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ronaldão Coelho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Albertinho Tinoco made a kick off. Wellington Chaves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albertinho Tinoco in the 51st minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ivo Soeiro during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 52nd minute, Ivo Soeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Alfredo Tavares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The referee gave Pirambu EC a penalty, 79 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Duda Corrêa, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Manduri's Willian Favoretto. 3-1. Pirambu EC's Wellington Chaves proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Pirambu EC from getting a goal against them. Willian Favoretto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ivo Soeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Albertinho Tinoco showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-2. Manduri's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
