In the 13th match minute, Manduri was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Samuca de Toledo to maneuver through the defense. In the 14th minute Fabiano Sousa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Willian Favoretto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dieguinho Tinoco acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 20th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Artur Fernandes. Carlos Passos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Willian Favoretto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carlos Passos took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Willian Favoretto. Willian Favoretto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Willian Favoretto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Passos in the 31st minute of play. 33 minutes into the game, Fabiano Sousa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Willian Favoretto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 43 minutes into the match, Maracaibo's goal looked a bit too open when Albertinho Tinoco came free, but Dieguinho Tinoco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vinícius Mendonça's late challenge caught a Manduri's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vinícius Mendonça helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Maracaibo's Vinícius Mendonça got a free kick in the 44th minute. Maracaibo's Dieguinho Tinoco proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Maracaibo from getting a goal against them. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The wind increased when Albertinho Tinoco made the kick off in the second half. Alfredo Tavares struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Dieguinho Tinoco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Manduri. When Fabiano Sousa came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Maracaibo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabiano Sousa couldn't finish the play. Carlos Passos received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Willian Favoretto came out and tried to block the shot, but Carlos Passos slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 62nd minute. When Manduri's Albertinho Tinoco in the 67th minute got a chance for a shot 67th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albertinho Tinoco in the 77th minute of play forced Maracaibo's goalkeeper Dieguinho Tinoco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 78 minutes into the match, Maracaibo's Carlos Passos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Willian Favoretto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Maracaibo's zone, Alfredo Tavares stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dieguinho Tinoco came out of the goal and Alfredo Tavares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Fabiano Sousa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cacá Negri kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. In the 93rd minute of the match Manduri got a corner. Maracaibo's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Germano Cardoso ran over to the corner to take the kick.
