The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 10th match minute, Pangare was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cássio de Sena to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Pirambu EC getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Ronaldão Coelho hit a great ball. Wellington Chaves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sidney Mazza in the 16th minute of the match. Ronaldão Paulista hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Zézinho Cardoso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wellington Chaves having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Zézinho Cardoso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wellington Chaves was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Serafim Bittencourt got free with Dedé dos Santos in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Pirambu EC's Ronaldão Paulista got a free kick in the 28th minute. Duda Corrêa kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Wellington Chaves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sidney Mazza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 45 minutes, Zézinho Cardoso put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Wellington Chaves. The Pirambu EC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Pangare were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zézinho Cardoso stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Zézinho Cardoso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wellington Chaves having to interfere. Ronaldão Coelho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pirambu EC's goalkeeper Wellington Chaves, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 61 minutes into the game, Sidney Mazza was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Wellington Chaves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zézinho Cardoso in the 72nd minute of the match. In the 72nd match minute, Pirambu EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivo Soeiro to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Pirambu EC's Wellington Chaves got control of the ball when Sidney Mazza tried to sneak it across the goal line. Pirambu EC's Wellington Chaves proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Pirambu EC from getting a goal against them. Wellington Chaves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zézinho Cardoso in the 78th minute of play. If Zézinho Cardoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 84 minutes, Zézinho Cardoso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pangare's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zézinho Cardoso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Wellington Chaves made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Sidney Mazza sent off a good shot on target. Wellington Chaves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zézinho Cardoso in the 87th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zézinho Cardoso in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wellington Chaves prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Wellington Chaves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zézinho Cardoso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Pangare booed when Pirambu EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronaldão Paulista didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wellington Chaves stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zézinho Cardoso's shot from short distance in the 97th minute. When the final whistle sounded Pangare left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Pirambu EC.
