Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Anísio Lucas started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Futebol Muleke booed when EC Cubatão was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anísio Lucas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nildo Baptista received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Nestor Ribeiro came out and tried to block the shot, but Nildo Baptista slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 6th minute. Jorginho Cerezo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jorginho Cerezo in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nestor Ribeiro saved EC Cubatão from getting behind. When EC Cubatão's Vinícius Paraíba in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Futebol Muleke's goalie prevented a goal. After a defensive mix-up in EC Cubatão's zone, Ramón Torres stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nestor Ribeiro came out of the goal and Ramón Torres tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 20 minutes into the game, Fausto Guerra was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. EC Cubatão's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Futebol Muleke the free kick. The supporters of Futebol Muleke booed when EC Cubatão was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fausto Guerra didn't get a good kick on the ball. Reynaldo Perez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vinícius Paraíba in the 22nd minute of play. Jorginho Cerezo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nestor Ribeiro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Falcão Linhares in the 31st minute. If Anísio Lucas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Futebol Muleke's Reinaldo de Souza got a free kick in the 37th minute. Gláuber Freire fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nestor Ribeiro having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

53 minutes into the match, EC Cubatão's goal looked a bit too open when Jorginho Cerezo came free, but Nestor Ribeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 54th match minute, EC Cubatão was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anísio Lucas to maneuver through the defense. In the 55th minute, Ramón Torres got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 60 played minutes Futebol Muleke got a freekick which was hit by Hudson Leal. In the 61st minute of the match Luiz Paulo Cosme sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Reynaldo Perez skillfully saved the ball. In the 61st minute, Falcão Linhares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Reynaldo Perez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vinícius Paraíba in the 65th minute. A collision led to EC Cubatão getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Sidnei Damião hit a great ball. Futebol Muleke's Nildo Baptista got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 70th minute Gláuber Freire shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nestor Ribeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as EC Cubatão's Anísio Lucas slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Reynaldo Perez. That made the score 1-1 after 73 minutes of play. Nestor Ribeiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Falcão Linhares in the 76th minute of the match. In the 76th match minute, EC Cubatão was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nilson Prata to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vinícius Paraíba got free with Reynaldo Perez in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Ramón Torres came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Futebol Muleke fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ramón Torres couldn't finish the play. After having played for 96 minutes, Gláuber Freire managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Futebol Muleke's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gláuber Freire was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Futebol Muleke's Reynaldo Perez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anísio Lucas in the 98th minute of play. Futebol Muleke walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
