Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Pirambu EC's Ronaldão Coelho started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Pirambu EC getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Ronaldão Paulista hit a great ball. Wellington Chaves was a little too slow when Anísio Lucas got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 6th minute. The score was now 1-0. The supporters of Pirambu EC booed when EC Cubatão was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fausto Guerra didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anísio Lucas in the 12th minute of play forced Pirambu EC's goalkeeper Wellington Chaves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wellington Chaves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anísio Lucas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vinícius Paraíba could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Wellington Chaves made a huge save. Pirambu EC's Wellington Chaves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anísio Lucas in the 23rd minute of play. Serafim Bittencourt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nestor Ribeiro having to interfere. When Fausto Guerra fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored EC Cubatão's protests and gave Fausto Guerra a yellow card for diving instead. In the 37th match minute, Pirambu EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ronaldão Paulista to maneuver through the defense. Luiz Paulo Cosme got in the 38th minute a good position and tried a long shot which to a great surprise passed a very astonished Wellington Chaves. This was a shot which ended in a score of 2-0. Vinícius Paraíba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Wellington Chaves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ronaldão Paulista hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Anísio Lucas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Wellington Chaves didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Anísio Lucas went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 79th minute of the game. One of Pirambu EC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of EC Cubatão:s goal. The referee gave EC Cubatão a penalty, 80 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Luiz Paulo Cosme, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Pirambu EC's Wellington Chaves. 4-0. If Ronaldão Coelho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 89th minute, Vinícius Paraíba ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wellington Chaves was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. Duda Macedo scored 6-0 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Wellington Chaves, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 97th minute, Fausto Guerra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. For all the effort they put into the match, the Pirambu EC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for EC Cubatão.
