An unexpectedly hard shot by Vinícius Paraíba in the 26th minute of play forced Pangare's goalkeeper Dedé dos Santos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sidney Mazza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nestor Ribeiro having to interfere. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zézinho Cardoso stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A beautiful save bye EC Cubatão's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of EC Cubatão booed when Pangare was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dedé dos Santos came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by EC Cubatão's Vinícius Paraíba. But to his dismay, Vinícius Paraíba quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 87 minutes into the match, Pangare's goalkeeper Dedé dos Santos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vinícius Paraíba. Nestor Ribeiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sidney Mazza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Pangare supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching EC Cubatão's performance. The match ended with a win for EC Cubatão.
