Foz do Iguaçu FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Truffa SC the free kick. After 4 played minutes Foz do Iguaçu FC got a freekick which was hit by Fernando Quadros. When Joaquim Albuquerque fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Foz do Iguaçu FC's protests and gave Joaquim Albuquerque a yellow card for diving instead. In the 8th match minute, Foz do Iguaçu FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joaquim Albuquerque to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Foz do Iguaçu FC getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Virgílio Valle hit a great ball. Luisão Paiva in the 13thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Henrique Furtado, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Dênis Fonseca came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by Foz do Iguaçu FC's Sydney Cunha. But to his dismay, Sydney Cunha quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Henrique Furtado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marco de Medeiros in the 21st minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Luisão Paiva managed to get in a good position for a shot. Truffa SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Luisão Paiva was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Henrique Furtado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 30th minute, Luisão Paiva ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Henrique Furtado was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Luisão Paiva could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Henrique Furtado made a huge save. In the 36th minute, Luisão Paiva fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Henrique Furtado, passed just outside the right post. Luisão Paiva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henrique Furtado having to interfere. Henrique Furtado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marco de Medeiros, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luisão Paiva to make the kick off. Truffa SC's Luisão Paiva got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Foz do Iguaçu FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Henrique Furtado should have stopped the shot. Dênis Fonseca made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Fernando Quadros sent off a good shot on target. Henrique Furtado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luisão Paiva in the 77th minute of play. 79 minutes into the game, Davi Albuquerque was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Foz do Iguaçu FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Truffa SC the free kick. The supporters of Truffa SC booed when Foz do Iguaçu FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Davi Albuquerque didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luisão Paiva struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Henrique Furtado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Truffa SC. After having played for 86 minutes, Luisão Paiva managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Truffa SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luisão Paiva was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Truffa SC's Marco de Medeiros got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 90th minute, Ricardinho Carneiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Truffa SC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
