Real Minas's supporters rose to their feet, but Oséias Vidal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Francisco Lopes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Walmyr de Andrade fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Arto do Pasto's protests and gave Walmyr de Andrade a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Arto do Pasto's Walmyr de Andrade got a free kick in the 28th minute. If Cristian Bueno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. In the 33rd minute Oséias Vidal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francisco Lopes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Real Minas's zone, Doni Prata stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gilmar Almeida came out of the goal and Doni Prata tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Oséias Vidal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristian Bueno struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Francisco Lopes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Real Minas. The supporters of Arto do Pasto booed when Real Minas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Doriva Amaral didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristian Bueno might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Francisco Lopes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristian Bueno ran back to his position shaking his head. 65 minutes into the match, Arto do Pasto's goal looked a bit too open when Oséias Vidal came free, but Francisco Lopes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Real Minas's Gilmar Almeida played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedrão Varela in the 74th minute of play. When the referee ended the match the Real Minas players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
