Clube Atlético Indaiatuba's supporters crossed their fingers, but José Toscano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind Avante's goalkeeper Válter Guedes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gabriel Lucas might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Válter Guedes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gabriel Lucas ran back to his position shaking his head. Bernardinho Nogueira hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Diguinho Ferreira struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Vânderson Linhares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Avante. After some careless play in the Avante defense, José Toscano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Válter Guedes. The Avante fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Válter Guedes should have stopped the shot. After 93 played minutes Avante got a freekick which was hit by Willian Silveira. Clube Atlético Indaiatuba's Luisão Vianna got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Clube Atlético Indaiatuba fully deserved thier win.
