The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Clóvis Peres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 2nd minute. Pedrinho de Alcântara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 9 minutes into the match, Areinha FC's goal looked a bit too open when Oséas Pinheiro came free, but Pedrinho de Alcântara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Clóvis Peres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Pedrinho de Alcântara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Areinha FC's zone, Oséas Pinheiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedrinho de Alcântara came out of the goal and Oséas Pinheiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pedrinho de Alcântara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Clóvis Peres in the 25th minute of the match. 27 minutes into the match, DIABLOS RS F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Oswaldo Prado came free, but Paulão Favoretto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Areinha FC's Alfredo Guedes got a free kick in the 29th minute. 29 minutes in the game, Alfredo Guedes got a free kick from a good position and fired away a shot. The shot didn't have enough spin and went out of bounds to the left of the goal. Alfredo Guedes was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 31st minute. Areinha FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Doriva Custódio hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Areinha FC's Aílton Rocha got a free kick in the 34th minute. After some careless play in the Areinha FC defense, Oséas Pinheiro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedrinho de Alcântara. The Areinha FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedrinho de Alcântara should have stopped the shot.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Oséas Pinheiro made a kick off. 55 minutes into the match, DIABLOS RS F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Alfredo Guedes came free, but Paulão Favoretto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 58th minute Oswaldo Prado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulão Favoretto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Oswaldo Prado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulão Favoretto having to interfere. Paulão Favoretto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfredo Guedes, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. After a rather tough play, DIABLOS RS F.C.'s Décio Félix got a free kick in the 68th minute. Pedrinho de Alcântara made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Clóvis Peres sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to DIABLOS RS F.C. getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Décio Félix hit a great ball. Alfredo Guedes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. DIABLOS RS F.C.'s Clóvis Peres got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 85thth minute of the game Oséas Pinheiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Areinha FC's Pedrinho de Alcântara was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Oséas Pinheiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Pedrinho de Alcântara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pedrinho de Alcântara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oséas Pinheiro in the 90th minute of the match. In the 91st minute, Luizão de Lara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With his leg Pedrinho de Alcântara managed to avoid a goal in the 93rdth minute, when DIABLOS RS F.C.'s Clóvis Peres fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Oséas Pinheiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Pedrinho de Alcântara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. DIABLOS RS F.C. had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
