Nico Ferreiras short, quick shot in the 8thth minute got Maurício Marquez to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The crowd rose to their feet as Nico Ramos kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Maurício Marquez. That made the score 1-0 in the 9 minute of play. If Nico Ferreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nico Ferreira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Maurício Marquez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 28th minute, Luiz Fernando Fernandez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Miguel Lima was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The referee gave Claros SC a penalty, 33 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Germano Messias, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Palmeiras's Maurício Marquez. 2-1. Nico Ferreira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When José Paulo Machado fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Claros SC's protests and gave José Paulo Machado a yellow card for diving instead. In the 39th match minute, Claros SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Paulo Machado to maneuver through the defense. Nico Ferreira who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 42ndth minute tested the skills of Maurício Marquez when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 43 played minutes Palmeiras got a freekick which was hit by Aloísio Oliveira. When Claros SC's Nico Ramos in the 45th minute got a chance for a shot 45th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Palmeiras's goalie prevented a goal. If Isaltino Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nico Ramos was the one to do the kick off. Pedro Paulo Lucas charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 61stth minute of the game Nico Ramos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Palmeiras's Maurício Marquez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 62nd match minute, Palmeiras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodrigo Pontes to maneuver through the defense. In the 65th minute Nico Ramos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maurício Marquez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Claros SC booed when Palmeiras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aloísio Oliveira didn't get a good kick on the ball. 75 minutes into the match, Palmeiras's goal looked a bit too open when Gernando das Neves came free, but Maurício Marquez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 76 minutes, Nico Ramos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Claros SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nico Ramos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nico Ferreira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Maurício Marquez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. There was no doubt that Claros SC were the better team. Claros SC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
