The supporters of Desportiva Unida booed when Jaboty was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gino Veiga didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Leopoldo Berger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leopoldo Berger in the 25th minute of play forced Jaboty's goalkeeper Geovani Velasco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 29th minute, Yan de Amaral made a precise shot to the right of Geovani Velasco. Jaboty's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Naldo Gerber recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 41 minutes into the game, Desportiva Unida's Leandro Netto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Geovani Velasco made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. In the 44th minute Leopoldo Berger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geovani Velasco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Yan de Amaral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geovani Velasco having to interfere. Geovani Velasco made a fantastic save in the 48th minute, when Yan de Amaral sent off a good shot on target.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Leopoldo Berger to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 54 minutes, Leopoldo Berger managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Desportiva Unida's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leopoldo Berger was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yan de Amaral in the 58th minute of play forced Jaboty's goalkeeper Geovani Velasco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 60 minutes, Walmir França mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jaboty and the Desportiva Unida players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Desportiva Unida booed when Jaboty was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Walmir França didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Leopoldo Berger managed to get in a good position for a shot. Desportiva Unida's supporters rose to their feet, but Leopoldo Berger was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Geovani Velasco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Yan de Amaral came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Desportiva Unida fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yan de Amaral couldn't finish the play. Leopoldo Berger might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Geovani Velasco. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leopoldo Berger ran back to his position shaking his head. 67 minutes into the game, Desportiva Unida's Yan de Amaral nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Geovani Velasco made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. If Walmir França had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 74 minutes into the game, Wilian Hermes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Desportiva Unida's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jaboty the free kick. Wilian Hermes kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Yan de Amaral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Claudinei Munhoz fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jaboty's protests and gave Claudinei Munhoz a yellow card for diving instead. Claudinei Munhoz kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Yan de Amaral got in the 80th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Geovani Velasco handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Jaboty's zone, Yan de Amaral stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Geovani Velasco came out of the goal and Yan de Amaral tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Yan de Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Desportiva Unida's Yan de Amaral got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jaboty's Geovani Velasco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leopoldo Berger in the 91st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Jaboty's zone, Yan de Amaral stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Geovani Velasco came out of the goal and Yan de Amaral tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Desportiva Unida had played much better football throughout.
