In the 4th minute, Pedro Luís de Andrade got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Tampa de Crush F.C getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Genílson Madureira hit a great ball. If Angelo Azevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Matinho's Angelo Azevedo got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 12 minutes into the match, Tampa de Crush F.C's goalkeeper Rui Ramos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Angelo Azevedo. 18 minutes into the match, Matinho's Dráusio Sabóia sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rui Ramos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Murillo Trigo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zé Roberto Rosado having to make a save. Tampa de Crush F.C's Diguinho Dantas got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Murillo Trigo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Roberto Rosado having to interfere. Zé Roberto Rosado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Luís de Andrade, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. In the 45thth minute of the game Pedro Luís de Andrade who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Matinho's Zé Roberto Rosado was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 47th minute Murillo Trigo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé Roberto Rosado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Murillo Trigo got free with Zé Roberto Rosado in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Germano Quadros kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Rui Ramos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angelo Azevedo in the 58th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Luís de Andrade in the 76th minute of play forced Matinho's goalkeeper Zé Roberto Rosado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dráusio Sabóia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Murillo Trigo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Roberto Rosado having to interfere. After 84 played minutes Matinho got a freekick which was hit by Caio de Almeida. Zé Roberto Rosado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Luís de Andrade in the 87th minute of play. Edgard Travassos kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. When Edgard Travassos fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Matinho's protests and gave Edgard Travassos a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Tampa de Crush F.C booed when Matinho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgard Travassos didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Murillo Trigo came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Tampa de Crush F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Murillo Trigo couldn't finish the play.
