Spectators: 7239 (Terracing: 5431, Seating: 1665, VIP seats: 143) Jaboty's Walmir França started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Walmir França fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wellington Borges having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alan Perez in the 10th minute of play forced Jaboty's goalkeeper Geovani Velasco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Alan Perez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 18 minutes, Luís Paulo Moreira made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Jaboty's Geovani Velasco tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Guaranii FC's Wellington Borges played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Walmir França in the 23rd minute of play. Jaboty's Naldo Gerber got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Walmir França recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match had gone on for 40 minutes, Augusto Cordeiro put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Wellington Borges. The supporters of Guaranii FC booed when Jaboty was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ademar Camargo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alan Perez made a kick off. In the 53rd minute Walmir França shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wellington Borges saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Luís Paulo Moreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 2-2 became the score in the 64th minute when Walmir França elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Wellington Borges made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Walmir França in the 70th minute of play. If Ademar Camargo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 79 minutes, Luís Paulo Moreira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guaranii FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luís Paulo Moreira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Luís Paulo Moreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jaboty's Geovani Velasco proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Jaboty from getting a goal against them. Ademar Camargo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wellington Borges read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. Wellington Borges made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Walmir França in the 94th minute of play. Walmir França fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wellington Borges having to interfere.
