The tension between the Guaranii FC and the Desportiva Unida players grew even worse after the yellow card. Desportiva Unida's Leopoldo Berger got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Guaranii FC's Wellington Borges proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Guaranii FC from getting a goal against them. Desportiva Unida's Leopoldo Berger got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Leopoldo Berger to make the kick off. Yan de Amaral took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wellington Borges. Wellington Borges dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. A collision led to Guaranii FC getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Zé Neto hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Leopoldo Berger's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wellington Borges was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. Leopoldo Berger struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Wellington Borges didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Desportiva Unida. Leopoldo Berger might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Wellington Borges. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leopoldo Berger ran back to his position shaking his head. Wellington Borges took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yan de Amaral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 81 minutes into the game, Desportiva Unida's Yan de Amaral nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wellington Borges made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0.
