The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Silas de Queiroz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Amauri Queiroz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Simão Gerber recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 7th match minute, Covid-19 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Murillo Carioca to maneuver through the defense. 1-0 became the score in the 12th minute when Marcinho Machado elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcinho Machado got free with Bernardo Massa in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Simão Gerber blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Amauri Queiroz having to make a save. Silas de Queiroz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Amauri Queiroz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rony Rosado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leopoldo Breckenfeld received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Bernardo Massa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 34 minutes into the match, Rony Rosado dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Bernardo Massa, 2-1. 38 minutes into the match, Covid-19's goal looked a bit too open when Silas de Queiroz came free, but Amauri Queiroz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Simão Gerber had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcinho Machado could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Bernardo Massa made a huge save. Bernardo Massa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rony Rosado in the 45th minute of the match. After having played for 48 minutes, Marcinho Machado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Covid-19's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcinho Machado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Silas de Queiroz was the one to do the kick off. Amauri Queiroz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silas de Queiroz in the 53rd minute of play. Bernardo Massa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rony Rosado went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. When Giuseppe Goiano fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Covid-19's protests and gave Giuseppe Goiano a yellow card for diving instead. After 62 played minutes Covid-19 got a freekick which was hit by Giuseppe Goiano. Simão Gerber received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Amauri Queiroz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 67th minute Silas de Queiroz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amauri Queiroz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Simão Gerber got free with Amauri Queiroz in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Amauri Queiroz stood somewhat misplaced when Simão Gerber came free in front of goal and shot 3-2 to the left of him in the 70 minute. A collision led to Covid-19 getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Marcinho Linares hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice moves Simão Gerber could shoot a difficult shot in the 76th minute, which Amauri Queiroz however easily saved by the left post. After 80 played minutes Galera HC got a freekick which was hit by Dorival Nogueira. After 83 minutes, Leopoldo Breckenfeld mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Covid-19 and the Galera HC players grew even worse after the yellow card. José Lira, 84 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Covid-19's zone, Silas de Queiroz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amauri Queiroz came out of the goal and Silas de Queiroz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Amauri Queiroz made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Simão Gerber sent off a good shot on target.
