The audience was convinced that Gerson Albuquerque's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but William Rocha was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. Gerson Albuquerque sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. William Rocha came out of the goal and Edvaldo Viana tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Armandinho Catarinense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Egídio Moura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Armandinho Catarinense struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. José Paulo Gonçalves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. William Rocha came out of the goal and Gerson Albuquerque tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Edvaldo Viana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without William Rocha having to interfere. 88 minutes into the match, Salchibegows FC's goalkeeper José Paulo Gonçalves had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Armandinho Catarinense. José Paulo Gonçalves made an important save on a dangerous shot by Armandinho Catarinense in the 90th minute. In the 91st minute, Armandinho Catarinense got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Gerson Albuquerque came up free with the goalie in the 98th minute, the Salchibegows FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gerson Albuquerque couldn't finish the play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded.
