Franklin Silva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 26 played minutes Quixoa AD got a freekick which was hit by Iuri da Silveira. Rubens de Salles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Raí de Lara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Vítor Moreira in the 35th minute of the match. In the 40th minute, Imperial Nordeste F.C.'s Rubens de Salles dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Reynaldo Passos to strike the kick off in the second half. After 54 played minutes Quixoa AD got a freekick which was hit by Reynaldo Passos. When Guto Ferraz fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Quixoa AD's protests and gave Guto Ferraz a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Imperial Nordeste F.C. booed when Quixoa AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guto Ferraz didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Imperial Nordeste F.C. fans' excitement grew in the 62nd match minute when Imperial Nordeste F.C.'s Rubens de Salles looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Iuri da Silveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Quixoa AD's Raí de Lara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Vítor Moreira in the 80th minute of play. In the 82nd minute Rubens de Salles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raí de Lara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Raí de Lara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rubens de Salles, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Quixoa AD's Raí de Lara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rubens de Salles in the 85th minute of play. Raí de Lara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Vítor Moreira in the 86th minute of play. In the 88thth minute of the game Rubens de Salles who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Quixoa AD's Raí de Lara was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Reynaldo Passos kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. If Luís Fernando Medeiros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 92nd minute Rubens de Salles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raí de Lara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Quixoa AD players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Imperial Nordeste F.C..
