With an extended leg and a bit of luck César Duarte prevented the ball from getting in the gole. José Pedro Prestes charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed José Pedro Prestes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The audience was convinced that Betão Figueiredo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but César Duarte was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. 94 minutes into the match, TFPN's Betão Figueiredo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that César Duarte narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
