After a rather tough play, Guarulight F.C's Giuseppe Brasil got a free kick in the 14th minute. 17 minutes into the match, Imperial Nordeste F.C.'s goalkeeper Mathias Varela had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by William Donato. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mathias Varela prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 38th minute William Donato shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mathias Varela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Matías Nascimento's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mathias Varela read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. After 40 played minutes Imperial Nordeste F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Gilvan Silveira.

In the 54th minute of the match Adelino Teixeira shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vitinho Paes showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Mathias Varela didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zé Augusto da Costa went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Almir Borges charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Almir Borges the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Rubens de Salles blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vitinho Paes having to make a save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Giuseppe Brasil during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Giuseppe Brasil kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. A collision led to Imperial Nordeste F.C. getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Gilvan Silveira hit a great ball. Mathias Varela showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matías Nascimento in the 66th minute of the match. William Donato sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mathias Varela didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from William Donato went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 93 minutes into the match, Imperial Nordeste F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when William Donato came free, but Mathias Varela reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Guarulight F.C had won after a very even match.
