Dudu Tinoco succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 15th playminute. After a defensive mix-up in S. E. Portovelhense's zone, Gualter Schmidt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Romário Koehler came out of the goal and Gualter Schmidt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tostão Moura fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romário Koehler having to interfere. Gualter Schmidt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Yugoslavia Legacy's Andrzej Rywin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Yugoslavia Legacy from getting a goal against them. Dudu Tinoco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Andrzej Rywin made a huge save. If Tostão Moura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. S. E. Portovelhense's Nilson Cabral got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tostão Moura to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd match minute, S. E. Portovelhense was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vladimir Brodel to maneuver through the defense. Richard Furlan fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 55th minute. Portovelhense's goalkeeper Romário Koehler, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Portovelhense's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dudu Tinoco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of S. E. Portovelhense booed when Yugoslavia Legacy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Charles Moura didn't get a good kick on the ball. Yugoslavia Legacy's Andrzej Rywin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nilson Cabral in the 71st minute of play. 72 minutes into the match, Yugoslavia Legacy's goal looked a bit too open when Nilson Cabral came free, but Andrzej Rywin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Romário Koehler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tostão Moura in the 76th minute of play. In the 76th minute, Tostão Moura ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Romário Koehler was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1.
