Spectators: 7239 (Terracing: 5431, Seating: 1665, VIP seats: 143) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Norberto Alagoano got the match started through his kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Eriberto Gaspar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pocoes's supporters rose to their feet, but Eriberto Gaspar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gilberto de Almeida breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gustavo Medeiros was extremely unlucky when he, in the 5th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Norberto Alagoano struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Gilberto de Almeida didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pocoes. In the 16th minute of the match Pedro Paulo Antunes sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Juarês Falcão skillfully saved the ball. 33 minutes into the game, Norberto Alagoano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pocoes's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Miglioli FC the free kick. In the 33rd match minute, Pocoes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Norberto Alagoano to maneuver through the defense. Gilberto de Almeida was out of position in the 35 minute of play, and Norberto Alagoano capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Norberto Alagoano really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. If Norberto Alagoano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gustavo Medeiros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Gilberto de Almeida tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mathias Pena to make the kick off. Juarês Falcão made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Albertinho de Medeiros sent off a good shot on target. Juarês Falcão didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Albertinho de Medeiros went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Norberto Alagoano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Gilberto de Almeida tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pedro Luís Cearense kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Pocoes's Norberto Alagoano got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Eriberto Gaspar came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Pocoes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eriberto Gaspar couldn't finish the play. If Norberto Alagoano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eriberto Gaspar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A hard shot by Walmyr Cavalcante from long distance, 78 minutes into the match, got Juarês Falcão's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After a defensive mix-up in Miglioli FC's zone, Eriberto Gaspar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gilberto de Almeida came out of the goal and Eriberto Gaspar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eriberto Gaspar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilberto de Almeida having to interfere. After 85 played minutes Miglioli FC got a freekick which was hit by Jairo Terra. 87 minutes into the match, Pocoes's goal looked a bit too open when Mathias Pena came free, but Juarês Falcão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Norberto Alagoano in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gilberto de Almeida saved Miglioli FC from getting behind. If Norberto Alagoano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Despite being the better team, Pocoes failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
