The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Chicão Maia came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Odaze fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Chicão Maia couldn't finish the play. Cleiton Bastos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vitinho Montenegro having to interfere. Vitinho Montenegro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hílton Almeida went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 37thth minute of the game Cleiton Bastos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Odaze's Vitinho Montenegro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 42 minutes into the game, Hílton Almeida was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Curipi SS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Odaze the free kick. The supporters of Odaze booed when Curipi SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hílton Almeida didn't get a good kick on the ball. Roberto Travassos hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Claudinei Sousa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Chicão Maia stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Vitinho Montenegro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christian Gomes, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Chicão Maia kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. The attack was good, but when Cleiton Bastos in the 67th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. After 69 played minutes Curipi SS got a freekick which was hit by Delfim Loureiro. If Cleiton Bastos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 73rd match minute, Odaze was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cláudio Tepedino to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Odaze getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Jano Mota hit a great ball. 80 minutes in the game, Cleiton Bastos dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Cleiton Bastos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vitinho Montenegro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. A collision led to Curipi SS getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Delfim Loureiro hit a great ball. The Odaze supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Curipi SS's performance. The match ended with a win for Curipi SS.
