Renan Magalhães made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. With a little luck, Saracura TS's Claudinei Montenegro got control of the ball when Sandrinho Barbosa tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Saracura TS's Manuel Bueno got a free kick in the 29th minute. Sandrinho Barbosa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 35th minute, Sandrinho Barbosa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Sandrinho Barbosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cafu Bittencourt struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Claudinei Montenegro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Genipapo SC. Genipapo SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Saracura TS the free kick. Diogo Rodrigues kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Saracura TS's Rubinho de Salles slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Renan Magalhães. That made the score 0-4 after 97 minutes of play. The Genipapo SC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Saracura TS's performance. The match ended with a win for Saracura TS.
