In the 8th minute Jerônimo Varela shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adrianinho Pinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 11th minute, José Vítor Alcântara ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rômulo Lopez was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Adrianinho Pinho made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Jerônimo Varela sent off a good shot on target. The audience was convinced that Jerônimo Varela's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Adrianinho Pinho was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when José Carlos Arruda got free with Adrianinho Pinho in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Adrianinho Pinho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vitinho Botelho in the 27th minute of play. A collision led to Gil vicente getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. DBV Futebol Clube's Adrianinho Pinho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save DBV Futebol Clube from getting a goal against them. Jerônimo Varela scored 2-2 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Adrianinho Pinho, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Frederico Paranaense recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 37th minute, Jerônimo Varela ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Adrianinho Pinho was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. In the 42nd minute Vitinho Botelho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adrianinho Pinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-2.

The wind increased when Márcio Matorin made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Carlos Arruda in the 52nd minute of play forced DBV Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Adrianinho Pinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adrianinho Pinho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jerônimo Varela, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Márcio Matorin charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Márcio Matorin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Gil vicente's Rui Britto was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Adrianinho Pinho in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Frederico Paranaense in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adrianinho Pinho saved DBV Futebol Clube from getting behind. DBV Futebol Clube's Adrianinho Pinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vitinho Botelho in the 72nd minute of play. Adrianinho Pinho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jerônimo Varela, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Vitinho Botelho struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Adrianinho Pinho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gil vicente. If Jerônimo Varela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Márcio Matorin hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. 82 minutes into the match, Vitinho Botelho notched a goal, 5-2, to the right of DBV Futebol Clube's Adrianinho Pinho. Adrianinho Pinho was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 86 minutes into the match, DBV Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Vitinho Botelho came free, but Adrianinho Pinho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Adrianinho Pinho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jerônimo Varela in the 89th minute of play. 90 minutes into the match, Gil vicente's Enio Tróia sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Adrianinho Pinho narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 92 minutes into the match, DBV Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Vitinho Botelho came free, but Adrianinho Pinho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 93rd minute Vitinho Botelho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adrianinho Pinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Gil vicente fully deserved thier win.
