Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Cássio Gonçalves kicked off to start the match. In the 5th minute, Cássio Gonçalves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 7 minutes into the game, Negov Sport Club's Andrézinho Motta nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zeca Tróia made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Zeca Tróia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cipriano Neto in the 13th minute of the match. After 15 minutes, Mário Leal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Negov Sport Club and the Coringa F.C players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 15th minute, Mário Leal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Andrézinho Motta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 27th minute, Cipriano Neto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zeca Tróia was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After 32 played minutes Coringa F.C got a freekick which was hit by Edmílson Goiano. When Cipriano Neto came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Negov Sport Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cipriano Neto couldn't finish the play. Andrézinho Motta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zeca Tróia having to interfere. When Gilvan Sena fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Coringa F.C's protests and gave Gilvan Sena a yellow card for diving instead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cipriano Neto was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Negov Sport Club booed when Coringa F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rubinho Velasco didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 66 minutes, Cipriano Neto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Negov Sport Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cipriano Neto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 77 played minutes Coringa F.C got a freekick which was hit by Cássio Gonçalves. If Didi Carioca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ferenc Puskás during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Negov Sport Club's Ferenc Puskás got a free kick in the 80th minute. Andrézinho Motta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Coringa F.C booed when Negov Sport Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ferenc Puskás didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 89th minute, Andrézinho Motta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 90th match minute, Coringa F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rubens da Fonseca to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Andrézinho Motta managed to get in a good position for a shot. Negov Sport Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Andrézinho Motta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zeca Tróia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Andrézinho Motta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Coringa F.C fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Negov Sport Club were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
