Oswaldo Paraibano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Paulo Ramos, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Tucunupi FC's Pedro Luís Furtado got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 15 minutes into the match, Tucunupi FC's goalkeeper Célio Lago had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cipriano Neto. If Andrézinho Motta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot 20 in the game by Cipriano Neto from a close distance when the talented Célio Lago managed to make a qualified save. Tucunupi FC's players were relieved. In the 22nd minute, Negov Sport Club's Andrézinho Motta dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. If Andrézinho Motta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Júnior Furlan's late challenge caught a Negov Sport Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Júnior Furlan helped the player get up and apologised. Júnior Furlan hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Andrézinho Motta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Célio Lago having to interfere. 36 minutes into the game, Cipriano Neto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Célio Lago was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Cipriano Neto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cipriano Neto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Andrézinho Motta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ferenc Puskás recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 56 minutes, Andrézinho Motta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Negov Sport Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andrézinho Motta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Wanderson Koehler got his second yellow card in the match during the 66th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, Tucunupi FC's Wanderson Koehler got a free kick in the 66th minute. Cipriano Neto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Célio Lago having to make a save. The supporters of Negov Sport Club booed when Tucunupi FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Alcântara didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tucunupi FC's Célio Lago played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felipe Saldanha in the 73rd minute of play. When Cipriano Neto came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Negov Sport Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cipriano Neto couldn't finish the play. If Andrézinho Motta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Célio Lago made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cipriano Neto in the 83rd minute of play. If Cipriano Neto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 86 played minutes Tucunupi FC got a freekick which was hit by Alfredinho Freitas. Mário Leal struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Célio Lago didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Negov Sport Club. In the 91st minute Cipriano Neto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Célio Lago saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Andrézinho Motta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Célio Lago tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Cipriano Neto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Negov Sport Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Cipriano Neto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Célio Lago breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 97th minute, Andrézinho Motta left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Negov Sport Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Negov Sport Club fully deserved thier win.
