Luís Eduardo Veloso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Waldir Lopez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luís Eduardo Veloso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 30 minutes into the game, Cavagnoli's Jânio Pires nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Luís Paulo Cordeiro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Andrézinho Ferraz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 37th minute, Andrézinho Ferraz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 44th minute Andrézinho Ferraz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Paulo Cordeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Elias Zanette had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Elias Zanette sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

With a left leg Luís Paulo Cordeiro saved Família Silva FC from getting behind. After 72 played minutes, Cavagnoli's Erik Paes shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Luís Paulo Cordeiro came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cavagnoli reached it. In a very dangerous position, a player in Família Silva FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 74th minute. Penalty! An unexpectedly hard shot by Vinícius Braga in the 80th minute of play forced Cavagnoli's goalkeeper Waldir Lopez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Elias Zanette had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 88th minute, Valdemar de Souza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Elias Zanette recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Adhemar Hermes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 99th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
