With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ronaldo Freitas in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mazinho Paraense saved Juventus from getting behind. João Pedro Paraíba charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed João Pedro Paraíba the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 20th minute of the game. One of Juventus:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Mneri Fc:s goal. Ronaldo Freitas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mazinho Paraense having to interfere. Cléber Batista recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cléber Batista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mazinho Paraense having to interfere. Mazinho Paraense stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cléber Batista's shot from short distance in the 47th minute. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Juninho Ortiz to strike the kick off in the second half. If Juninho Ortiz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ronaldo Freitas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Mazinho Paraense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vitinho Mendonça during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Juventus's Vitinho Mendonça got a free kick in the 61st minute. 63 minutes into the game, Emílio Bertassi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mneri Fc's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Juventus the free kick. The supporters of Juventus booed when Mneri Fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emílio Bertassi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mneri Fc played a much better game than Juventus and deserved their victory. The Juventus players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
