Spectators: 7202 (Terracing: 5403, Seating: 1656, VIP seats: 143) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Fábio Zanette kicked off to start the match. Severino de Alcântara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernardo Loyola in the 35th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Bernardo Loyola managed to get in a good position for a shot. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bernardo Loyola to make the kick off. Alfredão Gomes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Severino de Alcântara made a huge save. Donato da Costa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juarês Cruz in the 59th minute of play. Juarês Cruz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donato da Costa having to interfere. Alfredão Gomes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Severino de Alcântara having to make a save. Bernardo Loyola received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Severino de Alcântara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
