Spectators: 7175 (Terracing: 5383, Seating: 1650, VIP seats: 142) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Jânio Pires made the kick off which started today's match. Jânio Pires took the ball and in the 10 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Róbson Mello. Róbson Mello dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 13th minute Jânio Pires shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Róbson Mello saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Teodoro Alves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Waldir Lopez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dadá Pereira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Waldir Lopez having to interfere. With a little luck, Cavagnoli's Waldir Lopez got control of the ball when Dadá Pereira tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cavagnoli's Waldir Lopez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Cavagnoli from getting a goal against them. 38 minutes into the match, Jânio Pires had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Róbson Mello. Bar100lona's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jânio Pires was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Adhemar Hermes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Róbson Mello read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. 49 minutes had been played when some careless play by Bar100lona's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Cleiton Paraíba was slow to take the kick. During this time Cavagnoli's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Cleiton Paraíba almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Bar100lona's Róbson Mello did a great save. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Teodoro Alves to make the kick off. In the 56th minute, Jânio Pires hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 59th minute, Jânio Pires fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Dadá Pereira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Waldir Lopez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Andrézinho Ferraz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Róbson Mello having to make a save. Teodoro Alves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Waldir Lopez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teodoro Alves in the 74th minute of play. Jânio Pires fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Róbson Mello having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teodoro Alves in the 81st minute of play forced Cavagnoli's goalkeeper Waldir Lopez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Dadá Pereira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Teodoro Alves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jânio Pires sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Andrézinho Ferraz came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Cavagnoli fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andrézinho Ferraz couldn't finish the play. Cavagnoli were furious when Erik Paes was red carded, 91 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Gilvan Ramalho kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Cavagnoli had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
