In the 42nd minute, Elias Zanette fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The supporters of Meninos da Vila U18 booed when Família Silva FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcelo Bittencourt didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Família Silva FC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Gilvan Madureira hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Eduardo Veloso in the 60th minute of play forced Meninos da Vila U18's goalkeeper Edmílson Nóbrega to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Elias Zanette's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edmílson Nóbrega was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. If Elias Zanette had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luís Eduardo Veloso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edmílson Nóbrega having to interfere. After 68 played minutes Família Silva FC got a freekick which was hit by Elias Zanette. After 78 played minutes Aílton de Moraes shot from long distance. At first the shot seemed to be simple for Meninos da Vila U18's Edmílson Nóbrega to catch but Aílton de Moraes was lucky. It became 2-1 after the goalkeeper had been careless and dropped the ball into goal. If Alfredinho Trevisan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard, long distance shot from Elias Zanette flew over the goal. Família Silva FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
