An unexpectedly hard shot by Oscar Toledo in the 14th minute of play forced Meninos da Vila U18's goalkeeper Edmílson Nóbrega to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 18 minutes into the match, Meninos da Vila U18's goal looked a bit too open when Oscar Toledo came free, but Edmílson Nóbrega reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fluminense FC's Régis Salles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abelardo Santos in the 27th minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Fluminense FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
