Spectators: 6420 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1400, VIP seats: 20) Nilson Mendonça made the kick off and thus started the match. Fábio Zanette recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Fábio Zanette came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Oratorio fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fábio Zanette couldn't finish the play. Fábio Zanette received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Régis Salles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Régis Salles came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Oratorio's Fábio Zanette. But to his dismay, Fábio Zanette quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 24th match minute, Fluminense FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Josué Schmidt to maneuver through the defense. If Fábio Zanette had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Oscar Toledo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Severino de Alcântara made a huge save. When Fluminense FC's Nilson Mendonça in 29 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Severino de Alcântara guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. When Roger Rezende fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Oratorio's protests and gave Roger Rezende a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Fluminense FC booed when Oratorio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roger Rezende didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Oratorio's goalkeeper Severino de Alcântara, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aírton Alvarenga got free with Severino de Alcântara in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fábio Zanette was the one to do the kick off. Nilson Mendonça struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Severino de Alcântara didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fluminense FC. Severino de Alcântara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nilson Mendonça, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Severino de Alcântara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oscar Toledo in the 60th minute of the match. Régis Salles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fábio Zanette, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. When the match had gone on for 72 minutes, Fábio Zanette took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Régis Salles to make any attempt to save it. Juarês Cruz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Régis Salles having to make a save. Juarês Cruz succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-3 in the 78th playminute. After 80 played minutes Oratorio got a freekick which was hit by Roger Rezende. In the 81st minute, Oscar Toledo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nilson Mendonça might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Severino de Alcântara. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nilson Mendonça ran back to his position shaking his head. Severino de Alcântara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nilson Mendonça, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Severino de Alcântara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nilson Mendonça in the 94th minute of play. Oratorio's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
