After a defensive mix-up in Bar100lona's zone, Juninho Ortiz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Róbson Mello came out of the goal and Juninho Ortiz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Teodoro Alves to make the kick off. When the match was over Juventus could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Bar100lona throughout the match.
