Skill Shortage's Pedro Augusto Saldanha got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Rodolfo Ramalho came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Skill Shortage fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rodolfo Ramalho couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Fluminense FC's zone, Guilherme Trevisan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Régis Salles came out of the goal and Guilherme Trevisan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Nilson Mendonça made the kick off in the second half. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Fluminense FC reached it. Luís Guilherme Matos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Régis Salles having to make a save. Skill Shortage walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
