The audience was convinced that Leandro Tinoco's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aloísio Pereira was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 34th minute, Hugo Capixaba made a precise shot to the right of Fabiano Catarinense. Gordos d B.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Luís Silveira struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Fabiano Catarinense didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for PELADEIRO F.C.. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hugo Capixaba was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 54 minutes, Luís Silveira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PELADEIRO F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Luís Silveira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Bruno Vander fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gordos d B.'s protests and gave Bruno Vander a yellow card for diving instead. In the 60th match minute, Gordos d B. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bruno Vander to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to PELADEIRO F.C. getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Hugo Capixaba hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luís Silveira got free with Fabiano Catarinense in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Fabrício Cosme fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Hugo Capixaba managed to get in a good position for a shot. PELADEIRO F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Hugo Capixaba was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fabiano Catarinense breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Gordos d B.'s Fabiano Catarinense got control of the ball when Luís Silveira tried to sneak it across the goal line. PELADEIRO F.C.'s players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
