Eriberto Mota made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leandro Tinoco in the 9th minute of play. Real Caobianco FC's attentive Luís Eduardo Lima managed to snatch the ball when Guilherme Vinhas made a throw-in in the 12th minute of the game. The supporters of Real Caobianco FC booed when Gordos d B. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rogério Linares didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Celsinho Damião had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Otávio Albuquerque charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Otávio Albuquerque the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 22nd minute, Celsinho Damião fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Otávio Albuquerque in the 26th minute of play forced Real Caobianco FC's goalkeeper Eriberto Mota to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eriberto Mota made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leandro Tinoco in the 30th minute of play. Eriberto Mota showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rogério Linares in the 32nd minute of the match. 33 minutes into the match, Real Caobianco FC's goal looked a bit too open when Otávio Albuquerque came free, but Eriberto Mota reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Celsinho Damião recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Celsinho Damião was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 38th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Celsinho Damião blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fabiano Catarinense having to make a save. Fabiano Catarinense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celsinho Damião in the 42nd minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Guilherme Vinhas in the 44th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Real Caobianco FC's Luís Eduardo Lima. After a defensive mix-up in Gordos d B.'s zone, Celsinho Damião stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabiano Catarinense came out of the goal and Celsinho Damião tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Leandro Tinoco stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jarbas Madureira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabiano Catarinense having to interfere. When Otávio Albuquerque was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 52 minutes had been played. In the 56th minute, Celsinho Damião ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fabiano Catarinense was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Rogério Linares who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 60thth minute tested the skills of Eriberto Mota when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Real Caobianco FC's Celsinho Damião got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 63 minutes into the match, Gordos d B.'s goal looked a bit too open when Celsinho Damião came free, but Fabiano Catarinense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luiz Eduardo Eger recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 68th minute, Celsinho Damião got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fabiano Catarinense made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Luiz Eduardo Eger scored 4-0 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fabiano Catarinense, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Celsinho Damião fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabiano Catarinense having to interfere. Celsinho Damião recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Real Caobianco FC had played much better football throughout.
