Tadeu Correia had several of the Araripe EC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 8 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Dé Koehler as he didn't even see the shot coming. Laerte Sousa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luís Paulo Viana's late challenge caught a Arabela AD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luís Paulo Viana helped the player get up and apologised. Luís Paulo Viana kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Tadeu Correia might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dé Koehler. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tadeu Correia ran back to his position shaking his head. After 23 played minutes Arabela AD got a freekick which was hit by Renatinho Hoffmann. Rodolfo Mineiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Dé Koehler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Greg Lee took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Laerte Sousa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tadeu Correia in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dé Koehler saved Araripe EC from getting behind. A collision led to Araripe EC getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Willian Severo hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tadeu Correia in the 45th minute of play forced Araripe EC's goalkeeper Dé Koehler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rodolfo Mineiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dé Koehler having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tadeu Correia to make the kick off. With a little luck, Arabela AD's Greg Lee got control of the ball when Rodrigo do Valle tried to sneak it across the goal line. Araripe EC's Rodrigo do Valle got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Araripe EC's Laerte Sousa got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rodrigo do Valle got free with Greg Lee in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Arabela AD's Greg Lee proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Arabela AD from getting a goal against them. After 91 played minutes, Arabela AD's Harry Cramer shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dé Koehler came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Arabela AD reached it. If Rodolfo Mineiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Dé Koehler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tadeu Correia, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. There was no doubt that Arabela AD were the better team. Arabela AD's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
