The supporters of Jaquhype FC booed when Ipitangueiros was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gilmar Palmeira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marco Tande took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luiz Zonta. In the 33rd match minute, Jaquhype FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sydney de Almeida to maneuver through the defense. 35 minutes into the match, Jaquhype FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fabrício Saldanha came free, but Válbson Ferraz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Ipitangueiros getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Fabrício Saldanha hit a great ball. After having played for 38 minutes, Marco Tande managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jaquhype FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marco Tande was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Remo Andrade in the 40th minute of play forced Ipitangueiros's goalkeeper Luiz Zonta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Eriberto de Sousa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luiz Zonta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marco Tande in the 44th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Jaquhype FC defense, Pedro Luiz Rocha kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Válbson Ferraz. The Jaquhype FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Válbson Ferraz should have stopped the shot. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Marco Tande made the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Ipitangueiros got a freekick which was hit by Isaltino Pitta. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Téo Teixeira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ipitangueiros's supporters rose to their feet, but Téo Teixeira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Válbson Ferraz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Remo Andrade's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luiz Zonta was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. Válbson Ferraz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Luiz Rocha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 76 minutes into the match, Eriberto de Sousa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Válbson Ferraz. Jaquhype FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eriberto de Sousa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1.
