Portel F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gold Roaring Lyons the free kick. With a left leg José Paiva saved Portel F.C. from getting behind. 76 minutes into the game, Portel F.C.'s Luiz Paulo Monteiro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alfredão Mendes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After some careless play in the Gold Roaring Lyons defense, Gernando Gonçalves kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alfredão Mendes. The Gold Roaring Lyons fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alfredão Mendes should have stopped the shot. Alfredão Mendes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gernando Gonçalves went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. The Portel F.C. players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
