Joaquim Motta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Luiz Zonta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. II Vasco II's Dráuzio Breckenfeld played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Luís Terra in the 8th minute of play. If Pedro Luiz Rocha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Inácio Bezerra struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Dráuzio Breckenfeld didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ipitangueiros. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zé Augusto Ferraz during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Ipitangueiros booed when II Vasco II was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zé Augusto Ferraz didn't get a good kick on the ball. 18 minutes into the match, Ipitangueiros's Pedro Luís Terra sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dráuzio Breckenfeld narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Pedro Luiz Rocha struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Dráuzio Breckenfeld didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ipitangueiros. A hard shot 22 in the game by Pedro Luiz Rocha from a close distance when the talented Dráuzio Breckenfeld managed to make a qualified save. II Vasco II's players were relieved. Inácio Bezerra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tadeu do Nascimento in the 27th minute of play forced Ipitangueiros's goalkeeper Luiz Zonta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fabrício Saldanha kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, II Vasco II's Antônio Carlos Magalhães tried to score from far away in the 33rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Luiz Zonta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernardo Pires, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Pedro Luís Terra might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dráuzio Breckenfeld. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pedro Luís Terra ran back to his position shaking his head. Eriberto de Sousa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. II Vasco II's defense didn't have a chance, in the 42nd minute, when Pedro Luiz Rocha scored to the left of an out of position Dráuzio Breckenfeld, making the score, 1-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Pedro Luiz Rocha made the kick off in the second half. When Miguel Paes fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored II Vasco II's protests and gave Miguel Paes a yellow card for diving instead. Dráuzio Breckenfeld took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Luís Terra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Manuel Leme kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Luiz Zonta. That made the score 1-1 in the 55 minute of play. 59 minutes into the game, Joaquim Motta recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Luiz Zonta. Joaquim Motta showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. After 67 minutes, Antônio Carlos Magalhães mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the II Vasco II and the Ipitangueiros players grew even worse after the yellow card. Pedro Luís Terra walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Inácio Bezerra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dráuzio Breckenfeld having to interfere. In the 76th match minute, II Vasco II was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oséas Bastos to maneuver through the defense. Pedro Luiz Rocha scored 2-2 in the 78th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dráuzio Breckenfeld, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Inácio Bezerra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bernardo Pires recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pedro Luís Terra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dráuzio Breckenfeld having to interfere. Pedro Luiz Rocha scored 3-2 in the 87th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dráuzio Breckenfeld, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Pedro Luiz Rocha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 98th match minute, Ipitangueiros was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Inácio Bezerra to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 100th minute, Manuel Leme managed to get in a good position for a shot. II Vasco II's supporters rose to their feet, but Manuel Leme was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luiz Zonta breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Ipitangueiros had played much better football throughout.
