Spectators: 6665 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1665, VIP seats: 0) Paulinho Camargo came out of the goal in the 3rd minute to try and stop a shot by Taboco's Rubens Mendes. But to his dismay, Rubens Mendes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. If Rubens Mendes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Claudinei Luz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Grêmio F.B.P.A's zone, Dieguinho Cavalcante stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paulinho Camargo came out of the goal and Dieguinho Cavalcante tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Taboco fans' excitement grew in the 17th match minute when Taboco's Rubens Mendes looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 22ndth minute of the game Rubens Mendes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Grêmio F.B.P.A's Paulinho Camargo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Doni Furtado placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! In the 35th minute, Rubens Mendes made a precise shot to the right of Paulinho Camargo. Grêmio F.B.P.A's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. In the 37th minute, Dieguinho Cavalcante hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 39 played minutes Taboco got a freekick which was hit by Dieguinho Cavalcante. Claudinei Luz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Paulinho Camargo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Taboco were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rubens Mendes to make the kick off. Claudinei Luz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Claudinei Luz scored 0-5 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Paulinho Camargo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Thomás Valladares's late challenge caught a Taboco's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Thomás Valladares helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Taboco booed when Grêmio F.B.P.A was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thomás Valladares didn't get a good kick on the ball. Donato Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilmar Eger, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Claudinei Luz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Paulinho Camargo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 76 played minutes Grêmio F.B.P.A got a freekick which was hit by Roberto Koehler. Dieguinho Cavalcante fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulinho Camargo having to interfere. 85 minutes into the match, Claudinei Luz notched a goal, 0-6, to the right of Grêmio F.B.P.A's Paulinho Camargo. Paulinho Camargo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dieguinho Cavalcante during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Grêmio F.B.P.A were awarded a corner in the 94th minute after Taboco's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Luís Eduardo Fernandes took the corner. Luís Eduardo Fernandes struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Donato Amorim didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Grêmio F.B.P.A.
