Joélson Ortiz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cacá Diniz, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. After some careless play in the Pereiro defense, Cacá Diniz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joélson Ortiz. The Pereiro fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joélson Ortiz should have stopped the shot. In the 34th minute, Cacá Diniz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Laus Deo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. With a little luck, Laus Deo's Arsenio Manni got control of the ball when Oséas Martins tried to sneak it across the goal line. Laus Deo's Robinho Recife got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Laus Deo's Kong Ping in the 48th minute got a chance for a shot 48th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Pereiro's goalie prevented a goal. With a left leg Joélson Ortiz saved Pereiro from getting behind. Cacá Diniz's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 58thth minute, Joélson Ortiz skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 60th minute, Kong Ping left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Laus Deo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6. Cacá Diniz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joélson Ortiz having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Kong Ping managed to get in a good position for a shot. Laus Deo's supporters rose to their feet, but Kong Ping was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joélson Ortiz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Grzegorz Roman struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Joélson Ortiz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Laus Deo. Laus Deo made a substitution. Eugênio Negri replaced Robinho Recife. Peder Mellingen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joélson Ortiz having to interfere. Gildo Tande sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 85th minute of the match Laus Deo got a corner. Pereiro's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Timur Belyaninov ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Laus Deo's Timur Belyaninov to fire away a dangerous shot which Joélson Ortiz despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 86th minute, Agnaldo Terra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kong Ping blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Joélson Ortiz having to make a save. Joélson Ortiz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kong Ping in the 89th minute of play. With a little luck, Pereiro's Joélson Ortiz got control of the ball when Cacá Diniz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Kong Ping sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Pereiro fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Laus Deo were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
