Spectators: 7069 (Terracing: 5419, Seating: 1600, VIP seats: 50) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Sílvio Jacinto started the match with the kick off. José Paiva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oséas Martins, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oséas Martins in the 7th minute of play forced Portel F.C.'s goalkeeper José Paiva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. José Paiva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filipe Catarinense in the 8th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Oséas Martins in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg José Paiva saved Portel F.C. from getting behind. In the 11th minute of the match Hortêncio Mendes shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Joélson Ortiz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Jeremias Lara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Joélson Ortiz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 16 minutes, Luiz Paulo Monteiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Portel F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Luiz Paulo Monteiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 19 minutes into the game, Pereiro's Sílvio Jacinto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. José Paiva made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 25 minutes into the game, Pereiro's André Luís de Andrade nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. The wind increased when Jeremias Lara made the kick off in the second half. Luiz Paulo Monteiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Joélson Ortiz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jeremias Lara struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Joélson Ortiz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Portel F.C.. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hortêncio Mendes during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 67th minute Sílvio Jacinto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Paiva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when André Luís de Andrade got free with José Paiva in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Portel F.C. getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Hortêncio Mendes hit a great ball. José Paiva made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Agnaldo Terra sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 74 minutes, Luiz Paulo Monteiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Luiz Paulo Monteiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joélson Ortiz having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Oséas Martins got free with José Paiva in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Oséas Martins recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Pereiro's zone, Jeremias Lara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joélson Ortiz came out of the goal and Jeremias Lara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luiz Paulo Monteiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joélson Ortiz having to interfere. The Pereiro players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
