In the 19th minute, Rubens Mendes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Taboco's Rubens Mendes got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Taboco's Rubens Mendes slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Zeca Correia. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rubens Mendes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Claudinei Luz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zeca Correia having to interfere. If Gernando Fonseca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zeca Correia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rubens Mendes, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Taboco's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rubens Mendes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 66thth minute of the game Claudinei Luz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Quirinopolis's Zeca Correia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 67 minutes, Donato Amorim successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 68 minutes into the match, Claudinei Luz notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Quirinopolis's Zeca Correia. Zeca Correia was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Quirinopolis's Zeca Correia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudinei Luz in the 74th minute of play. In the 75th minute, Claudinei Luz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zeca Correia was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. Zeca Correia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rubens Mendes, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Rubens Mendes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Claudinei Luz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
