Joélson Ortiz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Perivaldo de Azevedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. The wind increased when Sílvio Jacinto made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Andrézinho das Neves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sílvio Jacinto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zeca Correia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sílvio Jacinto's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Quirinopolis's zone, Sílvio Jacinto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zeca Correia came out of the goal and Sílvio Jacinto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Perivaldo de Azevedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Joélson Ortiz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Oséas Martins in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zeca Correia saved Quirinopolis from getting behind. The Quirinopolis players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Pereiro from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
