Seating: 1660, VIP seats: 143) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Murilo Quintal made the kick off which started today's match. Lenílson Arce made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wellington Abraão in the 3rd minute of play. Lenílson Arce stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gilmar Eger's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind Anajas's goalkeeper Lenílson Arce, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Grêmio F.B.P.A getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Abelardo Pinheiro hit a great ball. Lenílson Arce took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thomás Valladares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wellington Abraão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Lenílson Arce tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Grêmio F.B.P.A's goalkeeper Paulinho Camargo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Lenílson Arce showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilmar Eger, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gilmar Eger in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lenílson Arce saved Anajas from getting behind. When Matheus Moura fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Anajas's protests and gave Matheus Moura a yellow card for diving instead. Matheus Moura hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Jorge Moraes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paulinho Camargo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matheus Moura in the 44th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Grêmio F.B.P.A's zone, Murilo Quintal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paulinho Camargo came out of the goal and Murilo Quintal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gilmar Eger to strike the kick off in the second half. Gilmar Eger recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Grêmio F.B.P.A fans' excitement grew in the 58th match minute when Grêmio F.B.P.A's Wellington Abraão looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 62 minutes into the game, Grêmio F.B.P.A's Wellington Abraão nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lenílson Arce made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Thomás Valladares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lenílson Arce having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Grêmio F.B.P.A's Gilmar Eger got a free kick in the 79th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Anajas's zone, Gilmar Eger stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lenílson Arce came out of the goal and Gilmar Eger tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilmar Eger in the 85th minute of play forced Anajas's goalkeeper Lenílson Arce to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 90 minutes, Wellington Abraão managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Grêmio F.B.P.A's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wellington Abraão was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
